Column balancing

OK, I have 3 hours per day dedicated for writing columns. Writing books would be included in the 8 working hours. In those short 3 hours, I'd like to furnish at least one, preferably two pieces of different genres. The objective is to train my brain (or "mind" what have you) to be flexible and to think holistically.

While I used to write in Indonesian, I'd prefer to write solely in English, as it has wider audience. Thus, in a "good day" scenario, the genre combos are likely to be:

• Philosophical essay - subjective opinion
• Philosophical opinion - business how-to
• Fact-based opinion - motivational
• Academic paper - spiritual philosophy
• Anecdotal opinion - narrative non-fiction

Now I've gotta check MediaBistro more often for submission guidelines. One or two pieces per day, here I come. :)
