What do the economics of publishing look like… really?
The best brief article on how publishing world works and how authors really make money. The fastest path (to financial independence and "relative" fame) is by publishing electronically. One author is known to earn $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 per month from selling one electronic book. The competition, however, is fierce.
Yet I still believe in traditional publishing with New York-based publishing houses, which can't be substituted for quality, literary prestige, peer acknowledgment, and worldwide fame. The pride for breaking into this tough industry is priceless. For everything else, we have.. the Internet (not Mastercard).
Paper is still the best. You can read without battery, and can read in the airplane from take off until landing.

I still prefer paper, however, in USA 31% growth in publishing occurs in e-book publishing. It's just a fact we need to acknowledge. Kindle's screen is nice and I prefer reading for longer hours with it.
Best wishes.

You can also make money not only selling ebook but also through article writing. This is actually the fastest way to make money with article marketing. All you have to do is look for people who are in need of an article writer online and you can apply to them. It is better if you have some article online portfolio so that you can show it to them as your sample.
