As a layperson who was born and raised in one of the most diverse countries in the world with one dominant religion, and who eventually came to reside in a secular multicultural country, I have come to learn a lot about how to respect and accept others who are different, either by choice or not. It is interesting to note the various facets of interreligious and multiculturalistic relationships in a world that is getting boundary-less, as they are key to a better tomorrow for all.
To be interreligiously literate requires one simple gesture: intellect-based acceptance, not merely tolerance. Acceptance is crucial because it brings forth the best in every human being, while tolerance may come with some reservations to living in peaceful coexistence.

The Federal Reserve is the economic institution in this country that can influence interest rates by issuing discount rates, also known as primary credit rates, that are intended to stabilize the financial system.
The decision to increase or cut such rates depends on multiple variables. In turn, the rates issued affect how these variables work in the free market, particularly in sensitive sectors of the economy, such as housing, auto and investment. Careful considerations in issuing a new rate must be made to ensure economic stability.

Nationalism is not a new concept. It is, however, often misinterpreted and misused. Regionalism and multiculturalism are more recent concepts, which have not been properly understood.
How we adopt them and adapt our behavior towards such notions would be reflected in our existence as individuals --and a people among peoples and nations-- which in the end may influence Indonesia's wide acceptance and respect as a political and economic entity.
The importance in distinguishing and applying the substances of these three concepts is crucial in creating a balanced perspective of how Indonesia perceives the world and how the world perceives Indonesia.
